Skin Checks and Skin Cancer Surgery

All GPs practicing at Westside Medical Centre are happy to see you for your general skin complaints - both skin checks to look for and treat skin cancer, and general dermatology.

If you're coming for a skin check, we have a few tips

• Let reception know you need a skin check if booking via phone or select it via HotDoc. We allow extra time for these appointments in order to be sure we can be thorough.
• Please ensure you haven't applied ANY make-up, creams or lotions before your appointment. We want to check your skin, not the effectiveness of your cosmetics!
• Having a thorough skin check involves undressing to your underwear. Wearing clothing that is easy to remove and put back on is advisable.
• Make sure you are aware of any particular moles or spots that you have been worried about, particularly if they have been changing.
